One to one counselling and psychotherapy.

In person, online and within nature

What I offer

You can read more details about how I work in the ‘about me’ section.

Counselling and Psychotherapy

I offer one to one therapy in safe and comfortable settings. I work in person, online and within nature (in the Edinburgh/Lothians area) or with a combination of them as suits our therapeutic work. Nature can be a powerful ally in therapeutic work and I love incorporating nature into counselling. If your goal is work within nature I usually suggest we start our work in person or online in the first instance.

Single session Nature Therapy

I offer a limited number of single therapy/mindfulness sessions within nature or in-person. This can be useful if you know you need to explore something specific, need a nurturing space held for you to reground and and reconnect with yourself or are curious about Nature Therapy but don’t want to start weekly therapy sessions. I have a form that you complete that lets us agree the focus of the session and so that I can tailor sessions creatively and safely for you. Single session Nature Therapy is a longer session than my normal therapy sessions to make space for for us to establish safety and grounding.

75 mins session |  £100

Mindful Psychotherapy

Similar to a conventional counselling and psychotherapy process except mindfulness practices are incorporated into the therapeutic work. I might also offer suggestions for mindfulness practices and meditations for a client to use at home to support themselves and their wellbeing in between sessions. Sessions are in person, online and within nature or with a combination of these spaces as suits our therapeutic work together.

Based in the Bonnyrigg area of Midlothian, it is on the LRT 31 and 39 and East Coast Buses 140 and 141 routes, with Eskbank train station near by. There is free parking on nearby streets. I also practice from dedicated therapy rooms in Causewayside, Edinburgh.

“When a person is hurting, confused, troubled, anxious, alienated, terrified; or when he or she is doubtful of self-worth, uncertain as to identity—then understanding is called for…in such situations deep understanding is, I believe, the most precious gift one can give to another. ”
