Mindful therapy and mindfulness courses for individuals and groups

What I offer

Mindfulness is about bringing our attention and focus into the present moment. Through mindful practices we can tune into the ‘here and now’ rather than memories of the past or anticipations about the future. I view mindfulness as a way of connecting and releasing. Connecting with ourselves and our bodies deeply but also releasing ourselves with compassion, and for a while, from our thoughts, worries and from the pressure to be, or do, anything but be ourselves.

Mindfulness can help us manage anxiety and depression but it can also be a way to nurture relaxation and wellbeing in our daily lives. I offer individualised one to one courses or coaching and this might be for you if you don’t always enjoy groups or if you require specialised support in some way for your practice, for example, trauma-sensitive mindfulness. I also offer 4-8 week mindfulness courses or mindfulness half day/day courses throughout the year either in comfortable venues or within nature. My forthcoming courses will be listed below.

Mindfulness within Nature

Starting 17th May 2024. Join me for gentle mindfulness practice amongst the trees, water, plants and wildlife of the Hermitage of Braid. Practicing mindfulness helps us bring a compassionate awareness and presence to how we are - in this moment. It can help us tune in to ourselves, reduce stress, sleep better and manage our anxious thoughts and feelings. Mindfulness within nature adds a special dimension to our practice as we explore our connection to, and sense of belonging within, nature. People new to mindfulness practice are welcome.

One to one mindfulness

Individualised courses involve some accessible teaching about mindfulness, relaxation and a variety of different mindfulness practices and meditations tailored to suit you and the benefits you are hoping for. Before the course starts we meet so I can fully understand your needs and priorities. You will be given mindful practices to try in between sessions. The course is runs at the same time each week for 6 weeks at a mutually agreed time.

Mindfulness Courses

Join with a group of like-minded people on a six week mindfulness course (indoors). This course is suitable for those who are new to mindfulness and for those who are looking to develop their practice. Each week covers a different theme and uses guided mindfulness practices. I use creative approaches in these courses to help attendees connect with the ideas and practices of mindfulness. Following the course I provide a couple of follow up mindful gatherings for the group to offer support. Email me to express interest in this.
