Supportive therapeutic groups involving creative approaches and mindfulness

Groups and workshops

I facilitate occasional therapeutic groups and workshops. These groups normally have a specific focus, such as navigating change, wellbeing or anxiety, but my guiding principals for all my facilitation and group work are compassion, authenticity and connection. We live in a network of relationships and so group work is a profound (and potentially healing) way to learn how to express and encounter ourselves. I believe we also often learn more about how we listen to and connect with others. I very much enjoy collaborating with others, if you wish to discuss running a one-off or series of creative therapeutic or wellbeing groups for your charity or initiative (for service-users, staff or volunteers). I’d be happy to explore this with you.

Creative Change

Creative change is a series of workshops using pottery to explore personal and professional change. The course consists of three, weekly, small-group sessions in the calming space of the Mudstation pottery studio with myself and potter, Stephen Wood. We’ll be combining creative practice, the development of pottery skills, with space for participants to explore ideas of change and transition in their life. Each session involves working with clay, group reflection, personal reflection and enjoyment. We take care to develop a communal space that feels respectful and safe for all. The dates are not yet set for the next creative change course. Email to register your interest for this course.

Sessions run 6pm-9pm each evening |  £150 for all three sessions

“People are just as wonderful as sunsets if I can let them be. When I look at a sunset, I don't find myself saying, "Soften the orange a little on the right hand corner, and put a bit more purple along the base, and use a little more pink in the cloud color." I don't do that. I don’t try to control a sunset. I watch it with awe as it unfolds.”
